We’re looking for a passionate and organised Learning & Development Lead to join our team on a flagship PFI contract, supporting over 800 frontline colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to specialise in L&D, with full ownership of training delivery, compliance, and induction across the contract.

Job Description

As part of the Senior Management Team, the Learning & Development Lead will act as the site’s expert for all things training, developing and delivering both mandatory and competency-based training, leading engaging inductions for new starters, and ensuring robust compliance reporting.

This role is ideal for someone confident, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, highly organised, and passionate about developing people.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our teams to deliver the best possible service to patients in a rewarding and people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage contract-wide training compliance and maintain accurate records
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and site-specific training sessions
Oversee role-specific training completion and report on compliance levels
Create and update internal training materials as needed
Ensure competency frameworks and checks are implemented effectively
Support with reporting and analysis using MS Office tools
Maintain and track all associated training documentation and evidence

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong data handling and reporting skills, including training on KPIs and SLAs
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, analysis, charts)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly organised with strong time management
Sound understanding of confidentiality and GDPR
Able to interpret complex information to identify risks or improvements
Proactive in identifying training needs and delivering tailored support
