The Opportunity

The role of Learning Support Team Leader offers a rewarding opportunity to lead and support a dedicated team of LSTs, HLSAs, and LSAs in delivering high-quality, personalised support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This position plays a vital role in ensuring students receive the resources and strategies they need to access the curriculum, achieve their goals, and engage fully in college life. The postholder will oversee the daily operations of the Learning Support Base Rooms, ensuring they remain welcoming, visible, and accessible. They will also work closely with curriculum teams to promote a collaborative approach to supporting all students with SEND.


About You

We are seeking a highly organised and emotionally intelligent individual with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities to manage and inspire a dynamic support team. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to deploy resources effectively, and a flexible, adaptive approach to navigating change. A strong advocate for SEND, you will be confident in analysing data to drive performance and continuous improvement. Experience managing teams in an educational setting, working directly with SEND students, and a solid understanding of EHCPs and statutory guidance is essential. You should hold relevant qualifications in management, coaching and education, with desirable need to work towards SEND leadership and mental health qualifications.
