We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to help lead a welcoming and nurturing early years setting. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Deputy Nursery Manager:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for all children.

  • Lead and motivate the staff team, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently maintained.

  • Act as a role model for best practice in early years education and care.

  • Assist with planning and delivering a creative and age-appropriate curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • Support the management of nursery administration, including staff rotas, record-keeping, and parent communication.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community.

  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence.

  • Contribute to staff training, supervision, and development.

Ideal Deputy Nursery Manager:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or higher).

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with some leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Deputy Nursery Manager.

  • A warm, caring, and professional approach.

  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
