About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Lead to drive impactful internal and external communications across our Diageo UK & Ireland account. This is a pivotal role supporting our operational transformation and employee engagement strategy, while enhancing brand alignment and storytelling.

You will shape anddeliver a comprehensive communication plan aligned to Sodexo and Diageo’sstrategic goals, leading initiatives that reinforce values, support behaviouralchange, and improve employee experience across a diverse service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the annual internal communications strategy.
  • Lead change communication to support transformation programmes across the account.
  • Deliver consistent and engaging content to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Promote and share success stories internally and externally, including award submissions and recognition campaigns.
  • Coordinate communication materials for key projects, sustainability initiatives, and reporting packs.
  • Drive communication best practice across teams, developing toolkits and mentoring account leads.
  • Manage client-facing storytelling using data and KPIs to showcase impact.
  • Organise senior leadership events, team meetings, and townhalls.
  • Support use and promotion of Sodexo’s recognition and wellbeing platforms.
  • Maintain and improve communication platforms, including SharePoint.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with proven copywriting experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in internal communications or employee engagement roles.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships across all levels.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Experience translating complex data into compelling stories.
  • Understanding of corporate communication tools and channels.
  • Design skills and experience with digital communications are a plus.
