About the role:
Working within Estates and Campus services your role will be to help direct the team and undertake the tasks required to maintain a safe and pleasant environment at the University.
You will be expected to take lead on daily activities relating to all aspects of grounds maintenance and waste management. This will include general horticulture, sports surface maintenance, managing areas for wildlife and recycling of waste.
The role will be predominantly based at the Preston campus but you may be required, on occasion, to travel to Burnley and Westlakes.
About you:
You will need experience working with waste recycling and grounds maintenance operations and experience of supervising a team working in an outdoor environment.
You will also be able to understand and supervise basic machine maintenance and have a good understanding of IT systems and mobile communications.
For this role you must have a full driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and be over 25 for the purpose of insurance.
