Deputy Home Manager (Residential Care) – £30,500 | 40 Hours per Week | Specialist Autism Support Service

Looking for your next leadership step in social care? A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Deputy Home Manager to join a small, specialist residential care home supporting adults with autism. If you're a compassionate leader with experience in residential care and a passion for person-centred support, this role could be the perfect fit.

This warm, inclusive service focuses on empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives in a safe, nurturing environment. You'll work alongside the Home Manager to ensure high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, and a supportive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or higher)
  • Experience in a leadership and managerial role within a residential care setting (autism experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A person-centred approach with a deep understanding of autism and complex needs
  • Confident in managing care documentation and supporting regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential care home
  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff, promoting a positive, inclusive team culture
  • Oversee, review, and update person-centred care plans, ensuring individual needs and goals are met
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external partners
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming home environment that promotes independence and dignity
  • Support training, development, and performance of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding policies, and all regulatory requirements
