Summary

Job Description

Undertake a range of civil engineering duties, aligned to an apprenticeship programme of structured workplace learning, that supports the work of professional employees and contributes to achievement of the Joint Committee’s key objectives; specifically in relation to both Council’s Community Plans, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreements and Best Value.

The Individual

To apply for these posts you must be aged between 16-24 years or up to age 29 if you are care experienced or have a disability.

The rate of pay for these posts is £12.60 per hour.

These posts will rotate on a yearly basis between different sections within Ayrshire Roads Alliance. Candidate must be willing to travel between East and South Ayrshire.

As part of this Apprenticeship, candidates will undertake their SVQ in Built Environment Design and HNC in Civil Engineering. Candidates will attend Glasgow Kelvin College to complete this. On successful completion, candidates will move onto their HND.
