The role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be utilising your commercial expertise in support of the client for a major decommissioning project.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for overseeing commercial activities, such as contract change and administration, amongst provision of commercial advice and guidance.

  • Provide commercial management and support to Q.S.'s as may be applicable for each project / contract
  • Provide commercial support and expertise to projects being responsible for a range of commercial activities (bid governance, reviews, change management, compensation event contractual notices, etc.)
  • Undertake internal compliance, liaising with the relevant Head of Commercial and customers as required
  • Support the CNL Project Managers with all commercial aspects on the project
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment of objectives and mutual setting of goals
  • Full understanding of the head contract terms and conditions and how these flow down to the Subcontract supply chain
  • Proactively ensures contract compliance exists and proposes and monitors correction plans to ensure any non-compliance is eliminated

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home and is based at our Birchwood, Warrington hub.

Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Demonstrable experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in supporting large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologies
  • NEC3 contract experience
  • Detailed understanding of business requirements and ensures these are adequately provided for in the overall sourcing strategy
  • Good understanding of day to day commercial administration in the Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction industries

Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Building Services Quantity Surveying or have a general degree in Quantity Surveying
