Summary

Duties to include: Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the hospital, including but not limited to theatres, ward, bedrooms, reception, offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets. Clean specialist equipment following agreed cleaning procedures. Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning materials are maintained and monitoring equipment, tools and stock provided for the job holders use e.g. mops, buckets, floor cleaning machine, cleaning fluids etc. To work in accordance with COSHH guidelines Complete periodic cleaning as directed to include; carpet shampooing, steam clean fabrics, scrubbing and sealing of floors. To assist the Ward and Theatre staff; as needed, with clinical area cleaning and to provide assistance with Clinical Area deep cleans as required. Inform the facilities Manager of stock required for replenishment purposes. Clean and maintain the tea/coffee station in reception To report any maintenance issues to the facilities manager To complete the cleaning schedule (check list) in all areas To apply green clean sticks to areas once cleaned To adhere to the privacy and dignity policy at all times Maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues To attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings as requested To comply with your contract regarding working hours/breaks/lateness/sickness To wear the uniform provided and be responsible for the cleaning of said uniform Compliance with Kinvara Policies and Procedures relevant to this role, ensuring you are fully aware of your responsibilities within these policies To be aware of your responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. To ensure you are aware of your responsibilities, supporting policies and undertake the appropriate level of training for your role. Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act. Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors. Ensure compliance with all relevant mandatory training within the specified timescales and undertake any specific role related training.
