Summary

We are searching for an experienced and proactive CRM professional to lead the systems and tools that underpin our student recruitment and conversion activities.

Based within the Admissions team, part of the wider External Relations division, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of the Student Recruitment CRM platform, including system development, functionality, and process refinement. With an increasing number of CRM-led initiatives across the institution, this role presents a timely opportunity to drive forward innovation and development in this critical area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the University’s CRM champion, providing training and developing user guidance
  • Leading the strategic development of the CRM system to support institutional recruitment goals
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues in Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing, and the faculties to ensure the system meets operational needs
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, offering expert insight and support
  • Ensuring adherence to data protection regulations (GDPR)
  • Representing the business context in engagements with the ISS Student Engagement team, who support the system’s technical maintenance
  • Managing competing priorities with sound judgement and a high degree of attention to detail

You must demonstrate the ability to influence and negotiate across a complex organisational landscape. The role requires a collaborative, self-motivated individual who is both highly organised and capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave, commencing in July 2025. Applications for internal secondments are welcomed, subject to line manager approval. The role is based on a blended working model, with a minimum of two days per week on campus and occasional weekend commitments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to further develop their expertise in stakeholder engagement and CRM leadership within a supportive and inclusive university setting.

Informal enquiries for this role can be made to Matt Birkett, Head of Admissions at m.birkett@lancaster.ac.uk.
