Summary
Your new company
HMP Cardiff is a Category B/C men's prison located in the centre of Cardiff, Wales. It has a capacity of around 800 inmates and plays a key role in the Welsh justice system.
Your new role
As an Administration officer within the Works department at HMP Cardiff, the main duties include but are not limited to:
- General clerical tasks
- Compliance, transferring paper to digital copies
- Answering telephone calls
- Sending/ receiving email communication
- Liaising with suppliers/ clients/ staff and customers
- Logging/ updating and closing jobs on the system
- Raising and receipting of requisitions via the approved system
- You will also be required to run various reports from a number of different IT systems / databases.
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday: 8-4.30pm
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' administration experience and be proficient in all Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Work and Excel.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a maintenance team.
