Summary

Acorn by Synergie is looking for highly motivated individuals to provide comprehensive switchboard service to the local Healthboard based in Llantrisant.

You will be required to cover a shift pattern over 7 days a week with evenings, weekends and nights as part of a 24-hour service. Candidates must be flexible to help achieve a safe, kind and effective service.

The Switchboard Operator works as part of a front-line team on a 24 x 7 rota to deliver a telephone switchboard service.

Making and receiving a large number of telephone calls from staff, patients, relatives and other members of the public and connecting them quickly in the most appropriate manner to the person or department they require, using personal knowledge and an electronic telephone directory.

The ideal candidate will act calmly, quickly and accurately to any emergency call to alert the correct team and take immediate and precise action. This involves being conversant with all emergency procedures for Switchboard, including Cardiac Arrest and Medical Emergency calls.

Previous customer service experience and excellent telephone manner is essential.

Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however training will be provided.

Hours:

  • 12 hours shifts on a rota basis
  • 8am-8pm
  • 8pm-8am

Salary:

  • Days - £12.21
  • Nights/Saturdays £17.22
  • Sundays/Bank holidays £22.34
