Summary
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. In this key role, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and continue to learn in a calm, respectful, and purposeful atmosphere.

Compass Academy is a KS3 Alternative Provision which supports pupils who struggle to access mainstream education for varying reasons. Many of our pupils have identified SEND needs and/or are accessing pathways for additional support. This is an exciting job role which will vary on a day to day basis in response to the needs of the Academy.
This role will manage planned absence requests and day-to-day absences of teaching and support staff. To provide short term cover for absent teaching staff, allocating pre-prepared work, keeping students on task and managing the behaviour of students during lessons. The role does not involve planning, preparing, delivering lessons or assessing and reporting on the development progress and attainment of students.
