Summary

Responding to the growing demand for insight led decision making, the Future Students department at USW is seeking to recruit a fixed term maternity cover for the post of Insights Officer.

This multifaceted post plays a central role in supporting the Insights Team in delivering a schedule of projects and reporting outputs relating to student recruitment and portfolio development. Undertaking a broad range of desk research, data manipulation and analysis tasks, the successful candidate will have high levels of numeracy skills and good attention to detail. The ability to deal confidently with large datasets and extract key trends is essential. The successful candidate will also require excellent organisation skills when supporting the delivery of primary research. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the right individual to apply and develop a range of analytical skills within a small but vitally important team.

The role will involve working from both the office and from home. When in the office, your base will be our Pontypridd campus, although you may be required to travel to and work from our Cardiff and Newport campuses.

This is a fixed term post covering maternity leave for up to 12 months.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
