Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral MBC to assist with the appointment of a Specialist Business Support Officer, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.81 - £16.33 per hour
Summary:
The Specialist Business Support Officer will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative and business support across Childrens Services. The role involves overseeing data, finance, compliance, and customer support functions to ensure statutory and corporate responsibilities are met. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to children, young people, families, and stakeholders while ensuring smooth operation and governance of service functions.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality administrative support, including scheduling, minute-taking, and managing communications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems (paper and electronic).
Coordinate recruitment processes including DBS checks, references, interview logistics, and induction planning.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safeguarding, data protection, and financial audit requirements.
Support financial planning and monitoring by maintaining detailed financial records.
Qualifications:
GCSE or equivalent in relevant subjects including Business Administration.
Numeracy and literacy qualifications (GCSE level or equivalent).
Experience:
Proven experience in business administration roles.
Experience with financial systems, reporting, and procurement processes.
Diary management and event/meeting coordination.
Working with various databases and information systems.
