Summary
Main duties of the job Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations including home visits. Manage a personal caseload and provide holistic care for patients with diverse needs. Undertake triage and same-day clinical duties as part of a duty doctor rota. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments/interventions for patients. Prescribe and review medications in accordance with PCN core practice policies and NICE guidance. Refer patients to secondary or specialist care as appropriate. Contribute to long-term condition management and preventative healthcare initiatives. Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and QOF delivery. Maintain accurate and timely patient records using clinical systems (e.g. SystmOne/EMIS). Additional Responsibilities Participate in Christchurch PCN and practice meetings, contributing to local development. Collaborate with other ARRS roles (e.g. pharmacists, care coordinators, paramedics) to enhance patient care. Support care navigation and personalised care planning. Maintain professional development and compliance with revalidation requirements. Adhere to Christchurch PCN & core practice policies including safeguarding, infection control, and prescribing protocols. This list is not exhaustive.
