The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and memorable guest experiences in our elegant Great Hall and other bar areas. As Bar Manager, you will oversee a dynamic team, manage stock and budgets, and create an inviting atmosphere that complements our luxurious reputation.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead, train, and motivate a team of bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
-Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing regulations.
-Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory to minimize waste and maintain profitability.
-Create and update innovative drink menus, including cocktails, in line with guest preferences and seasonal trends.
-Collaborate with the restaurant and events teams to ensure seamless service for weddings, corporate events, and fine dining experiences.
-Maintain a welcoming and professional environment, handling guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
-Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
-Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and creative bar initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
-Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Supervisor in a high-end hotel, restaurant, or bar setting.
-Strong leadership and team management skills with a passion for mentoring staff.
-Excellent knowledge of mixology, wine, and beverage trends.
-Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Knowledge of stock control, budgeting, and POS systems.
-A personal license and familiarity with UK licensing laws is essential.
