This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation, contributing to high-impact projects within the Projects Engineering Department.
This client specialises in hygienic process design, membrane filtration systems, CIP systems, and precision stainless-steel fabrications, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, dairy, and chemical industries.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Designing process flow diagrams with defined instrumentation and control systems
• Specifying and procuring fluid handling equipment and materials
• Overseeing workshop-based plant construction and working closely with workshop teams
• Managing projects through the full lifecycle-from design and build to on-site installation and commissioning
• Conducting risk assessments and supporting health & safety reviews
• Liaising with customers throughout project delivery to ensure satisfaction
• Preparing cost estimates and technical input for quotations, including fluid/thermal calculations
• Leading pilot plant trials both in-house and at client locations
• Producing detailed reports on project trials and outcomes
• Regular travel across the UK and occasional international travel
Skills, experience and qualifications
• A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
• Experience in process manufacturing, including designing and specifying process equipment
• Understanding of thermo/fluid dynamics, instrumentation, and control (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong documentation, organisational, and administrative abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proven project management experience (essential)
• A valid UK driving licence is essential
