Summary
As an Assistant Communications Officer, you help on both internal and external communications projects to support business objectives and the delivery of our 2030 strategy. You work with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels, from our senior leadership team to our newest apprentices, to help the organisation communicate effectively internally, and to explain and promote the work of the CPS to the public through external channels.
The Crown Prosecution Service is based in England and Wales. If you’re applying for this role and live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you must let us know when accepting this offer as you need permission to work from your home address if hybrid working is part of your role. There’s no guarantee that we will grant this approval.
You must be aged 16 before starting in this role. The start date is expected to be 8-12 weeks after the application deadline.
There are 3 posts available: 1 based in London and 2 which can be based nationally. We will ask you to confirm your preferred location. Please note that offers will be made in merit order, in line with your stated location preference.
There is an expectation for post holders based nationally to attend the London office once a week, and the local office on a hybrid basis.
For the London based post, there is an expectation to attend the London office in line with the hybrid working policy. Occasional travel to other CPS locations and stakeholder locations will be required.
