A leading energy trading organisation is seeking an Infrastructure and DevOps Manager to lead its hybrid infrastructure and DevOps capabilities. This strategic role is central to the evolution of the company's technology landscape, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure across both on-premises and Azure environments.
The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams across Infrastructure, DevOps, and CloudOps, driving innovation, automation, and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of infrastructure delivery in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Role and Responsibilities:- Lead and manage teams across Infrastructure Engineering (Hosting, Networks, Provisioning), DevOps (Tooling, Infra DevOps), and CloudOps.
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure solutions (on-premises and Azure).
- Oversee network architecture, storage, compute, and disaster recovery planning.
- Architect and manage Azure resources including VMs, databases, and networking components.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to streamline deployments and enforce best practices.
- Monitor system performance, plan for capacity upgrades, and ensure scalability.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across IT and the business.
- Proven experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud operations leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services (ARM, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor).
- Deep understanding of hybrid infrastructure, networking, storage, and compute.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell).
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills for performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Familiarity with energy trading systems or financial markets is a plus.
- Infrastructure: Pure Storage, Wintel, Red Hat, Exchange, UCS, VMware, Citrix
- DevOps: Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, PowerShell, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira
- Azure: Compute, Storage, Database, Analytics, Security, Identity & Access Services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Azure, DevOps, or infrastructure technologies are advantageous.
