Term: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.

What exactly will you be doing?

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of AAT’s workloads to the cloud. You will collaborate with third party vendors and internal stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain a robust, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions that supports AAT’s business goals. You will also be responsible for managing AAT’s cloud infrastructure, Identity and endpoints. This role is critical to AAT pursuit of becoming a cloud first organisation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud and will be adept at managing and optimizing both Azure and AWS environments.

Major objectives

The major objectives are:

Collaborate with third party vendors and internal stakeholders to plan, design, and execute the migration of AAT’s on-premises workloads to cloud.
Configure and maintain Azure and AWS resources, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, Virtual firewalls and databases.
Implement and maintain endpoint management tools (Intune, MDM, Apple School Manager) to ensure consistent device policies, software updates and security compliance,
Collaborate closely with the cyber security engineer to Implement security measures, ensure compliance, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
Migrate and modernize existing workloads into IaaS, PaaS or SaaS to improve performance, availability and scalability.
Develop and manage automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code templates with tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM), AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, PowerShell, and AWS CLI.
Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, provide technical support, and assist in disaster recovery planning.
Create and maintain documentation, collaborate with third party vendors and internal stakeholders, and handle communication challenges.

What are we looking for?

Possess at least 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Azure and AWS.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred.
Strong understanding of Azure and AWS architecture and services and how they integrate with on-premises services and workloads.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipeline and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking mindset.
Experience with mobile device management and mobile application management.
Strong customer focus both internal and external
