We are excited to offer a new opportunity within our expanding team for a Specialist School Nurse. This role is ideal for a passionate and dedicated professional who is committed to supporting children and young people (CYP) with complex needs and learning disabilities.
As part of our friendly and skilled community-based team, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to CYP across East Berkshire. Based primarily at Kennel Lane School in Bracknell, you will play a key role in providing a seamless and compassionate service to children, youngpeopleand their families.
This is a part time position with the ability to offer flexible working between the core hours of 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday.
• Lead the assessment, planning,deliveryand evaluation of evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the Community Children’s Nursing (CCN) Team.
• Deliver training, mentoring and care planning for staff nurses, nursery nurses, support workers and school staff using competency-based training packages.
• Develop andmaintainindividualised care plans for pupils.
• Work closely with safeguarding and children-in-care teams, contributing to reports and attending relevant meetings.

The must haves for this role:
• NMC-registered Children’s Nurse, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nursing), or Learning Disabilities Nurse.
• Strong communicationskills, with the ability to manage complex situations and liaise effectively with school communities and external agencies.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and use your initiative.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
