Summary
Our maternity teams are growing and changing and we are excited to look for new leaders to join our already well established teams. We are certain this is a role you will enjoy at CDDFT Maternity. The post holder will be responsible for the smooth and safe running of the labour ward and will take overall charge of the ante/postnatal ward and pregnancy assessment unit out of hours. The postholder will act as a credible support for other members of the maternity team to practice safely. The post holder will be supported to work in in line with the nationally recognised Labour Ward Coordinators development and educational framework. We have an excellent team of specialist midwives, ward managers and a senior leadership team who are commited to safety, quality and service improvement whom you will have a close working relationship with. The post holder will have some responsibility for a group of midwives and maternity support workers for appraisal and development. They will also be involved in the development of services, quality improvement, dealing with complaints and engaging in multidisciplinary team working working across the organisation.
