Summary


Are you looking to work flexible shifts in West London? West London NHS trust is currently recruiting to our bank pool of Security assistants to assist in the facilitating & completion of necessary works, be they planned, reactive or long term projects. As a Bank Security assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that safe and secure working practices are maintained by Estates staff, contractors and colleagues. You will will be part of the Clinical Security Department in the West London Forensic Service (WLFS) of West London NHS Trust (WLNT). The roles and responsibilities are therefore focussed on maintaining a safe and secure environment.



Being able to work in a team environment is paramount, whilst we are also looking for a candidate that can use their own initiative. Working on the bank we offer weekday shifts, these are easy to view and the Security Coordinator will book you through the allocate app.

We provide an extensive induction to the trust and additional ongoing support to all our bank staff

1. To ensure continued personal safety and safety of contractors, service users and staff by working within the safe practice guidelines provided by the security department.

2. To undertake any other administration duties as and when necessary in support of the key escort functions in relation to Estates and Capital.

3. To ensure that self and internal/external contractors/estates staff work within the policies, procedures, and safe working practices as set out by WLNT.

4. To contribute to own personal development and provide information to others to help their development.

5. To make changes to own practice and offer suggestions for improving service.

6. To maintain the quality of own work and use initiative.

7. To have a clear understanding of all policies and procedures related to post

8. To undertake routine escort duties for Estates and Facilities department.

9. To assist in delivering programmes of planned maintenance work and projects

10. To work alongside clinical staff in safe working practices within clinical areas

11. Carry out any other works related to the post, including undertaking the role of Security Assistant as required.

12. Proactively and reactively secure relevant CCTV footage in advance of expected Police or disciplinary investigations.

13. Provide cover for the Security Coordinator during periods of leave
