Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time (5 days a week) and a part-time (2 days a week) Assistant Psychologist to join our warm and supportive psychology-led West London Community Eating Disorders Service.
You will be involved in the development and delivery of the service, including conducting delivering evidence-based interventions in individual and group formats, supporting theFirst episode and Rapid Early intervention for Eating Disorders(FREED) offer, working jointly with other teams and supporting the service lead in audits and innovative service development initiatives. The team uses evidence-based therapeutic modalities for eating disorders, but we also understand that to meet clients’ needs, flexibility of approach is essential.
This is a rewarding and fulfilling role which will allow you to gain the essential skills, knowledge and experience to further your career as a psychological professional. You will be based in Ealing, but be expected to travel when necessary to Hounslow
1. To support the delivery of psychological assessments of clients, applying
psychological, self-report measures, rating scales, and semi-structured interviews with
service users and others involved in the service user’s care, taking into account the
service user’s mental health and wellbeing needs.
2. To support the delivery of psychological group interventions, under the clinical
supervision of a qualified psychologist.
3. To support across a range of intervention which involve working with our local
communities to meet the needs of our diverse communities
4. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.
5. To engage in specific project work to support the clinical team in their offer of delivering
more informal interventions in the community
