Summary
Sunderland City Council is recruiting to its Business Investment Team to help deliver ambitious City Plan goals.andnbsp; It is an exciting time to join the team, with major economic regeneration activity underway attracting significant public and private sector investment to accelerate the pace and scale of development.andnbsp; Sunderland has a strong track record of attracting inward investment and supporting small and medium sized businesses in key sectors andndash; including Automotive and Advanced Manufacturing, Software, Creative and Digital, and Financial and Customer Services - to grow and thrive.

As part of the Councilandrsquo;s Economy andamp; Place Directorate, the Business Investment and Projects Officer post will play a key role in a team of experienced economic development staff in attracting new investment to Sunderland and supporting the growth of businesses based in the city - focusing on key priority areas.andnbsp; This is an exciting opportunity for applicants who can demonstrate experience of business support, with a good understanding of the local and regional economy, together with experience of effective engagement with the private sector to support economic growth.
