Summary
As our Nursery Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nursery is clean, hygienic, and safe for children, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail will help create a warm and welcoming environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Carry out daily cleaning of all nursery rooms, communal areas, kitchen, bathrooms, and staff areas.
•
Ensure all floors, surfaces, windows, toys, and equipment are clean and sanitised.
•
Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain high hygiene standards.
•
Use cleaning products safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
•
Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the Nursery Manager.
•
Ensure cleaning materials are stored securely at all times.
•
Adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality policies.

Skills and Qualifications required
Previous cleaning experience (nursery, school, or commercial setting preferred but not essential).
•
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with good attention to detail.
•
Able to work independently and follow a cleaning schedule.
•
Understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for young children.
•
DBS check required (can be arranged if not already held).
