We require a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant specialising in complex hip arthroplasty and pelvis and acetabular trauma. The appointee will work as part of a team of dedicated arthroplasty surgeons at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and as part of the Major Trauma Centre team at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Both services share a catchment population of 3 million with an additional substantial tertiary workload. It is anticipated that this appointment will provide surgical skill for ‘fix and replace’ complex periacetabular injuries, and act as a liaison point between the elective hip service and the trauma service. This is integral to this appointment and applicants will need to demonstrate fellowship level training in both complex hip arthroplasty and pelvis and acetabular surgery.
