Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at Croydon University Hospital as a General Medicine Registrar attached to the renal firm. Applications are invited to apply for a 12 month fixed term contract within our well established teams in Medicine.

This post will run parallel to our current SPR grade role, and will offer identical opportunities to take part in consultant supervised training relating to both the general medical and renal curriculum. It would ideally suit a candidate looking to progress into the speciality at SPR level who wishes to gain more experience in it.
The postholder will partake GIM on-call rota.
• Work closely with registrar grade colleagues to support the General Internal Medicine & Renal service in providing high quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Carry out outpatient clinics with consultant supervision
• Participation in and leadership of ward based MDT, including review, assessment and treatment of acute medical inpatients, including onward speciality referral as appropriate.
• Provide supervision and support to FY1 doctors on the unit
• Take part in weekly educational activities (We encourage successful candidates to take part in quality improvement projects / audits / teaching sessions
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon.
These include:
• Croydon University Hospital
• Purley Hospital
• The Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre in Thornton Heath
• Community bases at Purley, Sanderstead, New Addington, Broad Green, Woodside
• A minor injuries unit in New Addington
