Location: Mercury House, Havering
Contract Type: Interim (Agency Worker) Working Hours: 36 hours/week | Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:30
Duration: 4 August 2025 – 19 January 2026

The Opportunity
The London Borough of Havering is seeking qualified and experienced Civil Enforcement Officers to provide additional support to its Parking Services team. This is a front-line role that plays an essential part in maintaining access, safety, and order on the borough’s streets.
Your Role
You will:
Patrol designated areas to enforce parking regulations
Issue Penalty Charge Notices where appropriate
Communicate effectively with the public in challenging situations
Provide a visible and reassuring presence to help reduce congestion and ensure road safety
Maintain accurate records and support the council’s commitment to fair and consistent enforcement
✅ Requirements
Proven experience as a Civil Enforcement Officer
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage time and workload independently
Team player with initiative and resilience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A–C or equivalent)
Relevant professional qualification in parking enforcement
