Are you a calm, confident and compassionate support professional looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting?

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Kings Norton. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to two boys in Years 4 and 5 who have Autism (ASD) and require tailored support in both behaviour management and lesson engagement.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they are:
- Engaging positively with lesson content
- Following classroom routines and expectations
- Supported with any emotional or behavioural challenges throughout the day

Your ability to build trusting relationships, redirect behaviour in a calm and structured manner, and help children access learning content in line with the KS2 curriculum will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 in-class support to pupils in Years 4 and 5 with ASD
- Encourage engagement and understanding of the learning content
- Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policy
- Promote routine, consistency, and positive behaviour
- Liaise with class teachers and SENCO to support pupil progress

Candidate Requirements:
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a school setting
- Sound understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and managing behaviour
- Calm, patient, and resilient with a positive attitude
