Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £455 - £480 per week
Location: Stechford, Birmingham (B33)
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic and supportive team in a primary school in Stechford, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students aged 7 to 12 years and provide vital support for their emotional regulation and behaviour management, making a real impact on their academic and personal development.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural and emotional regulation needs.
- Working outside of the classroom to mentor students on managing their behaviour and setting clear, achievable behaviour targets.
- Helping students identify and understand their own behaviours and work with them to set targets for improvement.
- Supporting students in improving both academic performance and behavioural outcomes.
- Keeping detailed behaviour reports and working closely with class teachers to monitor and review students' progress.
- Implementing strategies to help students manage their emotions and improve interactions with peers and teachers.
Requirements:
- Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant field (e.g. , teaching assistant qualification, youth work, psychology, or similar).
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, ideally with a focus on behaviour management.
- Experience in identifying and addressing behaviour issues and setting behavioural targets for students.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of how to support students' social and emotional development.
