Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly those with autism? An established and supportive alternative provision in Derby (DE3) is seeking dedicated and resilient Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistants to join their team. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with secondary-aged pupils, many of whom are on the autism spectrum, in an all-through SEN school, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

About the Role
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist with emotional regulation, transitions, and engagement in learning
- Contribute to the delivery of individual behaviour and education plans
- Support during structured lessons and unstructured parts of the day
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
- May involve occasional home visits or remote support where needed
About You
- Experience in SEN settings, alternative provision, PRUs, or youth support roles
- Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
- A calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and business-use car insurance (essential if travel is required)
