Start Date: August 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)
Daily Rate: £90-£100 per day

Looking to take your first step into education? This Graduate Teaching Assistant role offers a brilliant opportunity to join a brand-new specialist school in Shepshed-just 3 miles from Loughborough, with easy access to Leicester, Derby, and surrounding areas.
Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with energy, empathy, and resilience, this could be the ideal role to begin a meaningful and rewarding career in education.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work with children aged 4-16 in a nurturing SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) setting. Your role will involve supporting students one-to-one and in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and develop confidence in and out of the classroom. No previous school experience is needed-just a proactive, positive mindset and a passion for working with young people.
What the school offers:
- A modern, purpose-built setting with top-tier facilities: a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), science and art studios, music room, sensory and calm rooms, outdoor learning spaces, and free on-site parking
- A structured induction and supportive staff team
- Optional teacher training through the school after 12 months in the role
- Clear progression into a permanent contract
- Trial days and interviews happening ASAP
Who we're looking for:
This Graduate Teaching Assistant position is ideal for graduates (particularly in sport, psychology, or youth work), but we welcome anyone with a caring, active approach and the drive to make a difference. You must be available full-time from August 2025 and either already hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS.
