Summary

Job description
The Administrative Assistant supports the administration of the nursery. They will be one of the first points of contact for new and existing parents and carers, providing high quality customer service, including liaising with professionals and colleagues. Working as part of a team, they will contribute to the overall nursery operation, having strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently, including using management software packages.

A clear enhanced DBS check is required and two satisfactory references before any appointment can be confirmed.

Person Specification

Essential criteria:

An enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.
Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively.
Ability to produce reports and correspondence in a professional and accurate format, with attention to detail.
Sound understanding of Safeguarding.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, are essential to effectively liaise and work with nursery team, parents/carers & professionals.
Positive attitude and ability to manage change effectively.
Ability to work with and communicate with others to encourage their involvement.
Commitment to and understanding of diversity and equality.
Ability to work autonomously, supervising and responding to needs of the team as required to deliver exacting standards.
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£12.89 per hour
