Summary

Plan and prepare high-quality meals according to recipes or customer specifications.




Develop new recipes and menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.



Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.




Monitor kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.




Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.




Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize food costs and maximize efficiency.




Adapt dishes and menus for special diets or allergies.




Training
Will be trained on all aspects of kitchen. One day a week at College during term time only. Skills officer visits work place every 6-8 weeks.
Mentor in workplace.


Qualifications required
Ideally Maths and English grade 4/C

Skills required

Knife skills
Cleaning skills
Health and safety trained ideally but if not, awareness of this

After successful completion of apprenticeship, full-time role available with opportunity for promotion.
