Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Occupational Therapy required ASAP
29 hours per week (Mon 8.40am 2.45pm, Tues 8.40am 2.45pm, Weds 8.40am 2.45 pm, Thurs 8.40am 4.00pm, Fri 8.40am 2.45pm).
Castle Hill High School is a special school for students, aged 11 18, with significant and complex needs. We currently have 340 students on roll. Our most recent Ofsted inspection, in July 2023, judged the school to be Outstanding. All students enjoy equality of opportunity, regardless of gender, race, ability, social background etc. Our aim is to provide an education which is relevant and worthwhile, preparing our students for the world of work and ensuring that they leave us as caring young adults who have developed positive attitudes and values and are respectful of others.
We are seeking to appoint a compassionate teaching assistant, who has experience of, and interest in, Occupational Therapy. You will be working across our school, with pupils who have a wide range of SEN needs, delivering interventions and supporting the qualified OT's.
You should be child-centred in your approach and be able to demonstrate initiative, a willingness to be flexible and the ability to adapt calmly to ever changing situations.
