Summary
Contract Term: Temporary, part-time, term time only
Contract Length: Fixed term for two terms in the first instance
Salary: pro-rata Grade G01, SCP 2 to 4 £23,656 to £24,404 (fte)
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday-Friday 1.00pm-3.00pm)
Employment Start Date: 1st September 2025We require a Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly school and work within our Foundation Learning classes for two terms initially, from 1st September 2025.
Ysgol Trelawnyd VA School is set in a beautiful location below Gop Hill in Trelawnyd and has strong links with Llanasa Church and the Diocese of St Asaph.
The successful applicant will:
• Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
• Establish good relationships with pupils, being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and act independently as appropriate
• Be a positive role model, with high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour
• Share the ethos, values and vision of our school
Applicants should be friendly, able to work as part of a team, able to establish positive relationships with children and their families, and have experience of supporting children’s learning. Good standards of literacy and numeracy and an understanding of child development is essential.
