Summary
Main Duties:
Under the direction of the room leader / Deputy / Manager
• Ability to work within a team
• Respond to the children’s needs in a sensitive manner
• Adhere to Squirrels policies & procedures
• Knowledge & understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity
• Be a key person responsible for robust observation, assessment and contribution towards planning.
• Effective organisational skills.
• Communicate effectively with children and parents
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding
• Appropriate knowledge and skills to monitor and assess development needs and to relate to each child as an individual
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions within the team.
• Enthusiastic and have a confident and positive approach.
• Attend staff meeting and training that may take place out of your contracted hours
