Hours per week:
During college term time we need two hours on a Friday afternoon. The hours would be 3:15 – 5:15 to pick up from college, go to town and come home. - 2 hours per week (36 weeks of the year)
During college holidays we need two days a week 9:30am to 4pm to help my daughter access her day centre in Eastbourne and helping her access activities there. - 6.5 hours per shift = 13 hours a week (16 weeks of the year)
Hourly pay rate:
£12.21
We are looking for an energetic, caring and patient person to join my nineteen year olds daughter’s small team of personal assistants based in Eastbourne. Own transport is not essential but willingness to use the bus is. My daughter is a busy, friendly and fun and looks to build strong relationships with her carers.
My daughter enjoys all forms of movement, whether this is going for a walk in the shopping centre, out and about in community, on a bus or a train. My daughter uses a manual wheelchair to get around, she gets in and out for a walk when safe to do so with supervision.
Duties would include using the bus, going to the shopping centre. Travelling to her day centre and helping her access activities there. Helping her with all aspects of her personal care including changing her pads and helping her with her meals. Needs experience of using basic wheelchair and communicating with clients who are non verbal but have plenty of sass. Would be good to have experience of working with clients who have Autism and ADHD.
We have four dogs in our so the successful applicant must be comfortable with dogs.
