Choices College is a national Specialist Post-16 College providing a person-centred, Supported Internship, Study Programme for young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Through the course, 16–24-year-olds gain work experience, develop independence skills, and increase their employability. They also study English, maths and employability qualifications.
The College is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and the commissioning Local Authorities through individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP).
The college team deliver bespoke, tailored support to each Intern, and employment opportunities are matched to the individual’s skills. Choices College aims to empower Interns and build their confidence as individuals in the workplace, whilst also offering life experience beyond their home and prior educational environments.
This role involves supporting students develop their pre-internship skills, experience and their Preparing for Adulthood knowledge. The role covers London and the South with some travel around the region required.
This post would be responsible for working directly with regional schools and colleges to ensure young people with learning disabilities, difficulties and/or Autism are able to access Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) learning and supported work experience in the NHS. The role will involve planning management and delivery of experience across a range of NHS and partners organisations.
The work experience lead will:
· Be part of a National Transitions Team.
· Plan, co-ordinate, deliver and monitor a broad range of complex tasks or programmes of work to ensure the expected outcomes of Choices College.
· Manage, support and oversee the work of the Transition Team, acting as a role model in terms of delivering a culture of high performance, effective time management and flexibility in delivering workloads and priorities
· Engage with key stakeholders to ensure widening participation and engagement with Education providers and NHS organisations
· Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across range of public sector areas.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
