Summary
Mount Stuart Trust is looking for a seasonal gardener to join our team for four months, in maintaining and growing the Garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations as directed within the Garden Annual Plans.
Responsibilities:-
Mulch, edge and weed gardens
Mow, trim and fertilise green spaces
Prune and trim trees and bushes
Plant and nurture new trees, plants and flowers
Monitor and maintain the health of plants, trees, flowers and lawns
Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery
Monitor and maintain water features
Maintain gravel paths and ditches
Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the grounds
Plant propagation including seed sowing and cuttings
Harvest fruit, vegetables and cut flowers
Skills & experience:-
Ability to operate a range of machinery, power tools and hand tools
Application of chemical and organic herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers
Knowledge of vehicles, tools and machinery maintenance and accurate recording of usage as required
Minimum 3 year’s experience in horticulture
