Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organised, and friendly Office Administrator to join our team at one of our London-based tuition centres. You will be based primarily at either our Mile End (E3 4TU) or Ilford (E7 9HH) branch, but must be flexible to support both centres as required.
This is a front-facing role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage various administrative and customer service duties efficiently.
Pay & Training
Starting salary: £11.70 per hour during probation
Salary is subject to increase upon successful completion of the probation period
Languages
Fluency in English is required
Knowledge of Bengali (essential), Gujarati, and Urdu is highly recommended due to our diverse client base
Key Responsibilities
Respond to queries via phone, email, and social media
Maintain a professional and positive rapport with clients, visitors, and tutors
Manage reception and handle walk-in queries
Answer and sort correspondence, including emails and post
Screen tutor applications at the initial stage
Arrange interviews for approved tutor applicants
Draft, format, print, and photocopy documents as required
Maintain accurate records and databases of students and tutors
Create profiles for students and tutors in the company system
Enrol new students onto tuition classes
Input tutor timesheets into the system
Invoice students using our internal platform
Assist with purchase orders, invoicing, and general admin tasks
Support the management of social media accounts and marketing tasks
Work closely with directors and carry out delegated tasks
Please note: Full training will be provided for all responsibilities listed above.
Required Skills & Qualities
Excellent spoken and written English
Fluent Bengali (due to high number of Bengali-speaking customers)
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Availability: Monday to Friday with some weekend availability
Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Prior admin/customer service experience is an advantage
Salary
£11,960.00 – £17,940.00 per year (depending on hours and experience)
