East Dunbartonshire Council are recruiting a Contract Administrator for Business Gateway to join the Council’s Business Gateway/Business Support team. The role ensures East Dunbartonshire Council’s Business Support Service achieves all outcomes required by BG National Framework alongside associated Single Outcome Agreement, Corporate and other Service objectives.
Having great people skills and a passion for driving productivity forward is a necessary attribute, and we are looking for team players who can manage their time and support stakeholder relationships including customers and business networks.
Working with pre-start, start-up, existing and growing businesses, you will manage support through video, telephone, email and face-to-face meetings, as well as ensuring all interactions are recorded on CRM for reporting purposes. You will liaise closely with Business Advisers as well as the wider corporate organisation, other public sector organisations, agencies and stakeholders. You will also be involved in the downloading, recording and review of grant applications and contribute to future development of the service.

PVG/ Disclosure Scotland
The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria
Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.
Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment.
In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR &OD Manager.
Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
