Social Care & Education are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our team in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We provide high-quality support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs in supported living settings.
We offer a variety of flexible shifts, including days, nights, early and late shifts, to suit different availability.
Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for the individuals you support. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties
• Promoting social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities
• Assisting with medication, finances, and maintaining daily routines
• Managing challenging behaviours with professionalism and empathy
• Building strong, trusting relationships through consistent and person-centred support
Requirements:
• A minimum of three months’ experience in a support worker role
• Experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings and weekends
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
