Social Care & Education are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our team in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We provide high-quality support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs in supported living settings.
We offer a variety of flexible shifts, including days, nights, early and late shifts, to suit different availability.
Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for the individuals you support. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties
Promoting social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities
Assisting with medication, finances, and maintaining daily routines
Managing challenging behaviours with professionalism and empathy
Building strong, trusting relationships through consistent and person-centred support
Requirements:
A minimum of three months’ experience in a support worker role
Experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings and weekends
An Enhanced DBS certificate
