Salary: £44,257 - £52,373 (pro-rota for part time)
Hours: 15 per week, 52 weeks

Position 1: 15 hours per week over 7 days

Position 2 & 3: 15 hours weekend only

Emergency Social Care provide a generic (out of hours + Public Holiday) Social Work service for the City of Edinburgh, East and Mid Lothian Councils. The experienced team undertake Child Protection / Children & Families assessments, MHO assessments and other Health and Social Care tasks.

You will be part of a busy dynamic group of Senior Practitioners covering day-shifts, back-shifts and night-shifts (out of hours, week-ends and Public Holidays) offering a unique opportunity to experience generic working and management of risk.

Successful candidates must have a recognised Social Work qualification, plus either a Child Protection or an MHO accreditation. You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. Management/supervisory experience would be preferable.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
