Humanities Teacher – Secondary School – Coventry

School Overview:
A diverse and inclusive secondary school in Coventry is currently seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their committed Humanities faculty. The school has a strong ethos of respect, community, and achievement, and provides an inspiring learning environment where students are encouraged to explore the world around them through a rich and challenging Humanities curriculum.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Humanities Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful Humanities Teacher will ideally have the flexibility to deliver a combination of subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies, depending on the department’s needs. This is a full-time role for an individual with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice, and a genuine enthusiasm for Humanities education.

The Humanities Teacher appointed will contribute to curriculum development, student engagement, and academic success within a well-supported team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Humanities subjects


  • Foster students’ curiosity, critical thinking, and awareness of global issues


  • Use data and assessment to support progress and attainment


  • Support the school’s values and commitment to inclusive education


  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality Humanities provision


    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


    • A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies or a related field


    • Experience as a Humanities Teacher in a secondary setting


    • Strong communication and organisational skills


    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
