Summary

To assist in a small Estates Team to carry out the landscape and woodland maintenance of the Whiteley Village Estate.

• To assist in cutting and maintaining all grass areas.
• To assist in maintaining all flower/shrub beds and on garden projects.
• To assist in all forestry and woodland work.
• To assist in hard and soft landscaping projects.
• To maintain healthy and safe working conditions.
• To identify, maintain and prepare equipment and machines for safe use.
• To maintain effective working relationships with the team, The Head of Estates, residents and visitors.
• To respond to emergencies and to report them to the Head of Estates.

General

• You will be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data which you have access to in the course of your work. There is an exception if you need to share this information as part of your job or if you are made to by law.

What you will need
• Experience in gardening and grounds maintenance is essential.
• Experience in the work of the Estate equipment such a ride on mowers, tractors, chainsaws, strimming and woodchippers.
• Good team worker with the ability to integrate.
• Be able to work alone.
• Knowledge of IT systems as a PDA will be issued and assigned work from a digital helpdesk.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good Knowledge on shrubs and flowers.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.
