Summary

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care Home
Location: Colchester, Essex
Pay: From £15.20/hr + £50 per Sleep-In Shift
Hours: 42.5 per week (4 on / 4 off Rota, 12-hour shifts + sleep-ins)

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care Home - Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring care plans are followed and every child feels safe, valued, and supported

Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies and care regulations

Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and your team

Plan and support activities that build children’s life skills and confidence

Maintain accurate daily records, incident logs, and care reports

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care Home - What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People) required; Level 4 or 5 desirable

Experience: Minimum 2 year working in residential childcare, with some leadership or supervisory background

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; calm under pressure

A full UK Driving Licence is essential

Enhanced DBS check required
